A little update

As some of you may know (or all) Rob is in the hospital right now. I checked in on him yesterday when he was napping and I could barely hear his heartbeat. Since Rob has a mechanical valve it is always very loud, easy to hear. I shook him hard to actually get him to wake up. Once awake he passed out and I immediately realized what was wrong, grabbed his O2 sensor, put it on his finger and it was at 64. It should be 98-100. The respiratory nurse once told me if it was 85 or lower, get him to a hospital immediately. I called 911 and now he's at the hospital. He's stable as of now. He's been sleepy. They have been doing tests on him figuring out what is going on. All of our guesses is that it has to do with the Reclast infusion he had on Tuesday. We don't know too much more. They are monitoring him and seeing if anything else happens. Please keep Rob in your prayers. I'll try to post more, but I haven't figured out the password for the hospitals Internet.

Home!

We were able to come home from mayo yesterday. Rob is not feeling well
from the infusion. Poor guy! So he's sleeping.

I forgot to post this picture earlier. Rob played his favorite Ferrari
game in Vermont two years ago and got the top two scores. I went back
to the place where the game is and look! His scores have stayed on. I
thought that was cool.

Modern medicine

Rob is getting an infusion of Reclast which is for his bones. It will
strengthen them. He is getting an i.v of it and only has to have it
done once a year. It is like the medicines Boniva or fossimax. They
didn't want him taking a pill for of this because it could get stuck
in his throat because of his problems with swallowing. That wouldn't
be good.
This place is nice. They gave rob juice and cookies. They just came by
with a cart of food! That doesn't happen at other doctors appointments.

Mayo

We're at mayo for the day. We left last night. Rob should only have a
few appointments today. He isn't feeling very well this morning, so
hopefully he'll start feeling better.

Half the price, twice as low.

I heard Marla say that her mom thought my car was almost as low the the ground as a Corvette. Well, this picture is to prove that it is lower! :-) My front bumper has 3 inches of clearance and the Corvette has atleast 6. So there Diane! :-) hehehe!

A week with my Mom

It has been a fun week. We went shopping with Nini, shopping at the outlets, Costco and to many Kohls. My mom likes Kohls. Once we had a day or two of shopping, We needed a project to do. My mom suggested organizing my kitchen. I am very excited to have my kitchen so organized! It was a huge mess for two days, but once it was all done it was definitely worth it. The only picture I had with my mom was us cutting up the Costco chicken. I included pictures of my kitchen because I'm so proud of it. Thanks mom for all the help and for such a fun week!

Hunger Mountain is right up the road from me. You can see the town I grew up in. Not much there. But it's beautiful! Nicole and Devon hiked this, not me.



Here is a picture of my grandparents and my nephew Rhett. I loved seeing all of them. Rhett has an awesome shirt on. Rob has a matching one.
And the last picture is of the freezer at my parents house. I loved how my mom organized them by flavor. My little sister gets 3 pints a day every time she works.

My Vermont Trip

I thought I would post some pictures from my trip to Vermont. I went alone while Rob stayed here and went many places with his dad. Originally I wasn't going to go out to Vermont this summer, but once I heard everyone was going to be there, I wanted to go! Ryan, Aubrey and Rhett came from their trip in Florida and Nini, Devon and I flew all on different flights from Minnesota. I loved being able to see everyone.

The first picture is my little sister Marie and I at the Red Sox Fenway game in Boston.

The second picture is showing how close we were for seats. My dad got them from a company he works with. They were really good seats. I enjoyed it. When Rob asked what happened at the game, I said "I have no idea." So I don't know much about baseball. I do know I enjoyed the hotdog, cotton candy, soda, fries and ice cream that was in a small plastic redsox baseball hat. I really enjoyed going with Marie, Nicole and Devon.




I call soft serve ice cream, creamees. I realize for all you soft serve ice cream sayers, that is odd. But Dairy Creme has the best creamees ever.


The last picture is at Ben and Jerry's. My sister is a tour guide and that is in the flav-o-room. Actually I think it's called a different name now. It's where you get the samples of ice cream at the end. The pint is huge and it's supposed to be a podium to stand behind. Most tour guides can't use it because it's too tall.
