Emergency Room
Today Rob and I went to a doctors appointment for a routine check up. Rob had been saying the his right fingers were numb so we brought that up to the doctor. Well the doctor looked at his upper part of his arm and there was a bump. So he pressed on it and Rob felt it down to his finger tip. The doctor immediately said this is an aneurysm or a pseudoaneurysm that was probably afffecting his fingers. He said you need to go down to abbott to have it further looked at today. So off sad rob and sad marla went. I called mike and said I'd like to meet him at the house so we all drive down together. We drove down to the ER and got in. It was about 8 hours said and done and we're back home now. He does have a pseudoaneurysm in his arm, but they're saying to keep an ace bandage on it and keep a watch on it. It should go down. He also had a ct scan on his chest and neck area and they said his neck looked miraculously better than 3 weeks ago. We had good news. We're all happy to be home and not in a hospital anymore. We'll just have to keep a watch on his arm and hope that Rob's fingers will regain their feel.

ha ha ha so WaRN OUT that I can't even spell WoRN!!!!
The aneurysm is at the site of where they did the angiogram 2 weeks ago. We learned last night that an aneurysm could happen after that particular needle trama to the artery. It was better to hear that cause than it happening out of the clear blue. Poor Rob's arm was so swollen for a while after the angiogram that the bump would not have been very noticable for a while. St. Luke's was watching for a possible hematoma forming there, and I for one, don't recall them saying an aneurysm was a concern. But, it all makes sense now. We're learning all the time. Denise
I just heard from Grandpa this afternoon that you were in the hospital again. We are so happy that you are home again. How frustrating!
After all you have been through, Rob, you deserve a good long time without pain. We are praying for that.
Love, Auntie Mary
