The recent events have left Rob feeling like he has had a motorcycle with a man on it run over his neck. We know the motorcycle was going fast because behind it was VROOM. Rob is quite the artist. He came out of recovery with a whole list of things he can point to so he doesn't have to talk. He has a list of meals he prefers, pain level (his chart goes up to 11, not 10 just in case,) where it hurts, and some extra room so he can write us notes. It is on the back of an ekg report that prints out. It is pretty funny. He also wrote on there Nice job guys! and we're assuming that is to the surgeons and team that did his surgery.
Rob was able to eat a big lunch. We had panera. He loves the broccoli cheese soup in a bread bowl. (It was on his list.) He ate well and is now napping.
I finally finished Harry Potter. Even the doctor finished before me. I hope he comes back today so I can tell him.

Glad to hear everything went well. Leave it to Rob to plan some way ahead of time to communicate. I'm surprised he didn't rig the iphone to speak for him somehow. Maybe with a little more time he would have . . .
Wait, the Doctor finished reading Harry Potter before you Marla? So that's what they do now--read while they help their patients.....Where do they find the time? :-)
Keep up the resting and eating Shrubba!

Yeah, seriously. How did the doctor have all that time to read that huge book! Make sure you save all of Rob's notes cause it will be fun to look back on them later. Well maybe "fun" isn't the right word but I think you know what I mean.
Rob and Marmar--I'm so glad to hear that things seem to be going well. I've been thinking of you both very often.
My favorite Panera speciality is the broccoli cheese bread bowl as well and it would definitley be on my list! Continue to eat all of the great things and gain your strenght--it will only be a matter of time before you're back in Minnesota tending to those kitties!
Love,
Ferfer
That is awesome. I guess he had a little time on his hands. Take care.
Great news! We're glad things seem to be going as well as they can. But now you've made us hungry. Hope the pain starts giving you a breather really soon.
"These go to eleven." that is awesome. Keep getting better so you can get home!
