I just finished reading all the posts and comments. Thanks every one for the kind words and prayers! It has most definitely helped. I know for sure it helped... after the surgery when the surgeon came in, he said kind of in passing 'i don't know how worked' about the success of the surgery... most defiantly it was something special that helped him.
I hope to be out of here soon... i go a little crazy being in a bed so many hours straight. Sure, you can get out of bed, but with all the cords and IVs that they hook ya up too, it makes it a little bit of an ordeal... not to mention the robe I have I can slip through the neck... I don't want to get cold!
Here is a picture I just took a few minutes ago of my wrist... the handy work of one of the resident's thinking he knew so much about what to do... I know Doctors have to start some where, but I tell ya, residents scare me... they have too much power and not enough experience. (Except for you Landon!) When the 'real' doctors saw what they did to my wrist they were not happy... I hope the resident that ordered the arterial line got in trouble.
I guess it wouldn't bother me so much, except that I was awake when they 'tried' to do it.
Yup, been watching a lot of Discovery (less now that I am onto mostly reruns) and HGTV. Animal planet at night, because it is one of the few stations that doesn't seem to go to TV sales commercials.
About the food bet..
Unfortunately, no one is really going to be right' heck, I won't even be right.
It says "which restaurant will Rob 'WANT' to eat at" not which one will I eat at... so it is only going by what I 'think', and to be honest, I won't even remember that!
So I think the pole should be split into 2... which will I eat at in Texas first, and which one in MN first.
Brett, you are a winner in my eyes!
Hope to be home soon! Next step is getting off the IV's which really is up to me getting off the pain killers... but first I need them to start giving me more pain killers in the form of pills. So hopefully soon.
I might stop online again later...

Speaking of cats. Rob I hope you didn't leave Bri in charge of taking care of your cats! We all remember what happened last time Bri took care of your cats.... they went without food for a week! By the way, by the looks of your wrist I'm pretty sure I could have done a better job! Okay maybe not, but still. Hope to see you soon.

Keep up the good work and yes, the Lord's hand was definitely involved in this surgery. What a blessing that so many people are praying for you. There are so many wonderful, caring people in this world. Thanks from us.

Whoa! Looks like the resident was playing connect the dots! Landon said that the resident must have had no idea what he was doing because you don't make a new puncture every time, you just move the needle around in the same whole. "Wow! Some of those are way off!," he said. Poor Shrub.
Ouch! That must have hurt! It almost looks like he was printing the letter "H" for Hogan! Sorry you had to endure all that.
Great to hear from Rob himself! That is wonderful. Hope they can get that pain medicine down better and that there will be new TV programs to watch!

I think it is only fair that you get to poke holes in the residents arms. Glad you are feeling better though.
OUCH!!! I'm not against residents but if they can't do it on the first try... especially things like this... they need to step aside. YOu need to keep the pic for "evidence". :) Your recovery is definitely a miracle. You msut be pretty special in the eyes of the Lord... He is keeping you around for a reason. My mother use to watch Emeril (the chef) when all else failed. He put me asleep, but I'd wake up with his "BAM!" I get too sad with the Animal channel if I'm watching rescues. Ever watch "24"? Now that will keep you awake and "on your toes'. Keep up the good work, Rob.
From Overland Park,KS Uncle Rich, Auntie Sue, Mike and Aidan wish you the best. You'll have to give us an update on that "resident expert." Uncle Rich and Auntie Sue say they're sorry they didn't get to say goodbye, hopefully they'll see you all in November if you come out to Utah.
I read the entire days blog to Grandma & Grandpa. THey have been very concerned and anxious for any word as well. They send you their best and want you to know that they have been praying for you.
Buzz was given a letter that he wrote to George (George & Millie) when he was on Guadacanal in '43. Diane, they are making copies for you.
